Health Professions Review Board

Under the Health Professions Act, the provincial government has established a Health Professions Review Board.  The Health Professions Review Board is an independent tribunal tasked with reviewing the adequacy of the health colleges' investigations and the reasonableness of the colleges' decisions.

BC’s Health Professions Act allows you to request the Health Professions Review Board to review a decision of the Inquiry or Registration Committee within 30 days of notification of the decision.  Here is a link to the Health Professions Review Board website: www.hprb.gov.bc.ca  This website contains information about how to request a review as well as information brochures.

 

Our Mandate

To regulate the profession of psychology in the public interest in accordance with the Health Professions Act of British Columbia by setting the standards for competent and ethical practice, promoting excellence and taking action when standards are not met.
