Welcome to the College of Psychologists of British Columbia, the regulatory body for the profession of psychology in B.C. This website contains information for members of the public, applicants for registration, and for registrants. The College's role is to protect the public interest by regulating the practice of psychology and monitoring the practice of psychology practitioners. The College sets the standards for the practice of psychology.  The practice of psychology in B.C. is regulated under the Health Professions Act (HPA), the Psychologists Regulation, the Bylaws and the Code of Conduct

Looking for a Psychologist?

The College of Psychologists of British Columbia is the regulatory body for the profession of psychology in B.C. and provides information to the public about the registration status of its registrants to the public. To find information about a registered psychologist, please click here. The College does not offer a referral service. (For information on how to get a referral for a psychologist click here.)


Our Mandate

To regulate the profession of psychology in the public interest in accordance with the Health Professions Act of British Columbia by setting the standards for competent and ethical practice, promoting excellence and taking action when standards are not met.







AGM & Continuing Competency Presentation

The College AGM for the 2011 year will be held on Thursday May 24 2012 from 4:30pm to 7:00pm

The AGM will include reports on the 2011 year.

Vancouver site: Chan Centre, Children and Women's Hospital, 4480 Oak Street, Vancouver, B.C. (see map),

Victoria site: Please note that the 2012 AGM will be held at Royal Roads University at Hatley Park National Historic Site, 2005 Sooke Road, Victoria, in the new Learning and Innovation Centre (LIC). The Meeting will be on the 4th floor in the "Centre for Dialogue". Registration for the Meeting will be in the reception area outside the Centre for Dialogue.

The campus map is attached for your ease of reference here. Please be advised parking is located at P3 (see map), and it is a pay-to-park campus ($1/hour) payable either by coin or credit cards.

Please come to the AGM and be informed. Further details will be provided to registrants prior to the meeting and will also be available on the College's website.

The presentation to accompany the AGM will be eligible for Continuing Competency credits. Registrants in other ares will be avle to view the AGM via webcast and submit questions via email - details to follow. A light dinner will be availabe.

College Website

Please stay tuned to this space for additional information about the College website as some of its new features and functionality are unfolded. Planned functions include online address changes that can be automatically submitted to the College office and online College workshop and event sign-up and RSVP capability. The College appreciates the constructive comments and feedback it has received from registrants thus far.
